We have in excess of 100 employees, with 20 supervisors having SMSTS, SSSTS & S.E.A.T.S, Emergency First Aid certification and others holding Appointed Person Crane Certification, Crane Lift Supervisor, Slinger Signaller, Safety Decking, Trad Deck & Oxford Matting Training. All of our employees are Paslode Gun and Face Fit mask certified.
All of our employees hold CSCS Safety Awareness cards and are fully trained to understand and adhere to our health and safety policy.
We also have 32 CITB certified apprentices, undergoing their NVQ level 2 & 3 years, working on site and attending college.
Martin has been a carpenter since leaving school, where he worked in his Dad’s joinery factory until the age of 21, he then went on to work for himself, subcontracting.
He has over 30 yrs experience in the Trade and has worked all over the world: Hong Kong, Holland, Belgium, France and Germany. He is SMSTS qualified and deals with all aspects of health and safety, being passionate about creating a safe working environment. He takes great pride in completing contracts on time, within budget and above all customer /client satisfaction is at the top of his agenda.
Jarrad was the first employee of this company and has proven to be a real asset. He has a warm personality and is very popular with staff and clients.
Jarrad is wise beyond his years and has done an impressive job of supervising projects, which has resulted in his promotion to Operations Manager. Whether it be practical or office based, Jarrad has a tremendous work ethic, is extremely reliable and very conscientious.
Jamie joined us at the end of 2015, he is someone with excellent ability both practically and theoretically. He is an articulate person, remains calm under pressure, and is extremely adept at site management and all aspects of health and safety.
Jamie assists in the management of sites and day to day running of the company. Being computer literate he also works from the office alongside Jarrad & Ben assisting in the pricing of contracts. Jamie is BM Trada certified and oversees the installation of fire doors for the whole of our workforce.
Ben started out his career as a Carpenter, where he gained valuable experience on-site that has proven to be a great asset as he undertakes his new role as a Commercial Manager. Since joining us he has become an integral part of the team and has a promising future within the company.
Luke is one of our newest arrivals, who has recently enrolled onto the Network75 scheme at The University of South Wales. There he will be studying over the next 5 years to become a Quantity Surveyor. We have high hopes for Luke and he is already proving to be a great addition to the team.
Archie was the second person to join us through the Network75 scheme at The University of South Wales. Enrolling onto the Quantity Surveying course, whilst gaining valuable experience here at ACS. Archie has settled into his role here well and is expected to become a great asset to the office and company as a whole.
Anthony brings youth and enthusiasm to the team, coupled with 10 years experience. From as far back as he can remember he’s always wanted to be a carpenter. His specialities include cut roofs and first fix carpentry. He is a conscientious individual who is popular and well liked by everyone. Anthony is ambitious and always does his utmost to please customers and clients, enabling the business to become successful. He understands the importance of our health and safety policy and the implementation of it, in our daily work and activities on site.
Chris is a time served carpenter with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry. Prior to joining the team he trained as a site manager, gaining a HNC in Construction Management & MCIOB Accreditation. Chris brings to the company an insight into Main Contractor Management which will benefit him as he undertakes his new role as a Contracts Manager.
Paul has been with the company since its conception. Being recently promoted to senior contracts manager after occupying a senior supervisor role for some time.
He is very experienced and knows site carpentry inside out, he is an extremely important part of our operations on all our projects. Paul is very popular with employees and clients alike and always delivers the finished project on time with a high-quality finish.
We as a company are very privileged to have him as projects always run so well when he is involved. He is well respected in the industry by all who have worked with him and is also very knowledgeable and adept with all the health and safety regulations which are paramount to this company.
Gavin started his time with the company as a carpenter before being promoted to contracts manager in April 2018, he has a tremendous work ethic and vast experience in all aspects of carpentry. Gavin thinks quickly on his feet and is highly respected by all his colleagues and site management alike. After the demand for our services increased he was the perfect choice to fulfil an additional contract managers role. He manages the projects assigned to him safely, keeps the programmes on point and delivers high-quality work throughout the project. His vast experience is invaluable to clients when problems arise.
Darren proved to be a vital part of the team shortly after joining the company in the early stages, recently receiving a promotion to contracts manager. He is a consummate professional, with an excellent understanding of health & safety. Darren oversees multiple projects that consistently run smoothly, finish on time and within budget.
Tom joined the company as a timber frame contracts manager. He is very well respected in the timber frame community, has over 20 years experience in timber frame erection for the country’s leading manufactures.
He also ran his own timber frame erection business for some time, his specialities are cut roofs and dormer building. His knowledge and experience will be priceless as this company expand its operations.
He also has an appointed person crane accreditation and is very well versed with designing lift plans, and is accredited to operate the Mantis pedestrian driven crane. He is a born leader and a person that other people warm to and respond well to, he will be a great asset to this company and the main contractors we work for.
