As part of our continued commitment to delivering meaningful social value within the communities we work in, our team recently returned to Ysgol Nyth y Deryn to support another hands-on learning project with a new cohort of students. Having previously worked with the school on a successful social value initiative, it was a pleasure to revisit and build on the positive relationships established during our earlier visit.
During the session, students were given the opportunity to take part in the safe erection of a fence, working alongside our team to gain practical experience in a controlled and supportive environment. The activity encouraged teamwork, communication, and problem-solving while providing an insight into the skills and processes involved in construction. With safety at the forefront throughout the project, students were able to actively participate, develop confidence, and take pride in seeing the completed fence take shape through their own efforts.
Returning to the school and engaging with a different group of students highlights the long-term value of community partnerships and the importance of creating opportunities that inspire and support young people. Building on the success of our previous visit, this project provided another chance to share practical skills and create a positive learning experience outside of the traditional classroom environment.
We are proud to continue our relationship with the school and contribute to projects that provide lasting benefits for both students and the wider community. Initiatives such as these help to develop confidence, teamwork, and practical skills, while demonstrating the positive impact that can be achieved when organisations work together to support local young people.
